Feedless ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at gofeedless.com and the Feedless service, including our Telegram bot (@FeedlessHQBot), WhatsApp integration, REST API, and AI agent integrations (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Profile and preferences: During onboarding, you provide a description of what you're focused on. We use this to personalize your briefing. You may also configure topic preferences, delivery time, timezone, and other settings.

Messaging platform data: When you connect your Telegram or WhatsApp account, we store your platform-specific user ID (e.g., Telegram chat ID, Telegram username) to deliver briefings. We do not access your message history, contacts, or any other data from these platforms.

Usage and interaction data: We track which briefing items are delivered to you, your reactions (thumbs up/down), and deep dive requests. This data is used to improve the relevance of your future briefings.

API and agent data: If you access Feedless through a third-party AI agent (such as OpenClaw or other MCP-compatible agents), we collect your API key, the agent platform identifier, and API request logs. We do not access or store any data from your agent beyond what is sent to our API.

Technical data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, and timezone when you visit our website. We use this for security, abuse prevention, and to auto-detect your timezone for briefing delivery.

2. How we use your information

• Deliver your briefing: Match content to your interests and deliver it via your chosen channel (Telegram, WhatsApp, or API).
• Personalize content: Use your description, topic preferences, reactions, and interaction history to improve the relevance of your briefing over time.
• AI processing: We use AI (large language models) to analyze and summarize content from public sources. Your focus description is processed by AI to extract topic preferences during onboarding. We do not use your personal data to train AI models.
• Communicate with you: Send transactional emails (password reset, account notifications). We will not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
• Improve the Service: Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve content matching, delivery timing, and product features.
• Creator analytics (future): We provide content creators with aggregated, anonymous statistics about how their content performs (e.g., total deliveries, reaction rates). Individual user identities are never shared with creators.

3. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone.
• We do not display advertising.
• We do not share your individual reading habits with content creators — only aggregated, anonymous statistics.
• We do not access your Telegram or WhatsApp messages, contacts, or media beyond the Feedless bot conversation.
• We do not use your personal data to train AI models.

4. Data sharing

We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, AI processing). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• AI agent platforms: If you access Feedless through a third-party agent (e.g., OpenClaw), that agent receives the content data it requests via our API. We do not control how third-party agents use this data — please review their privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Feedless, our users, or the public.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and follow industry-standard security practices. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., aggregated anonymous analytics).

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data we hold about you (available through your Settings page).
• Update: Modify your preferences, description, topics, and delivery settings at any time.
• Delete: Delete your account and all associated data from your Settings page.
• Disconnect: Disconnect Telegram or WhatsApp at any time from Settings. This stops briefing delivery immediately.
• Export: Request a copy of your data by emailing us.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for authentication (keeping you logged in) and CSRF protection. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.

8. Third-party content

Feedless indexes and summarizes content from publicly available sources (newsletters, blogs, YouTube channels, podcasts). We link back to original content and attribute creators. We do not republish full articles — briefing items are short summaries with links to the original source.

9. Children

Feedless is not intended for use by anyone under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
